About WARDOGS Field Manual
Who runs this independent WARDOGS reference site, why it exists, and exactly how every number on it is checked against the Season 1 build.
What this site is
WARDOGS Field Manual is an independent fan reference site focused on a single subject: the verifiable numbers behind WARDOGS — the cash economy, objective scoring, vendor prices, progression unlocks, and launch-state technical caveats. WARDOGS is a 100-player tactical shooter by BULKHEAD, published by Team17, that entered Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026.
Rather than covering the game broadly, this site goes deep on a narrow set of questions players actually ask after they buy in and start dying poor. Each page fully answers one question so you do not have to open five more tabs.
Who runs it
WARDOGS Field Manual is an independent fan reference site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by BULKHEAD or Team17. We are not a contractor, a studio, or customer support for the game. Where a page discusses the developer or publisher, it does so as an outside observer. Any trademark, store name, or in-game term belongs to its owner and is used for identification and commentary only.
Why it exists
Early Access numbers move. A price that was $2,500 one week is $7,500 the next. Players who cannot tell a verified figure from a forum guess burn their $10,000 start on the wrong kit. This site exists to keep a dated, sourced snapshot of the numbers that matter, written by someone who has read the changelog rather than guessed at it.
How the numbers are checked
This is the part that matters most, so it is stated plainly:
- Every figure traces to a source list. The numbers on this site come from BULKHEAD’s Season 1 changelog dated 9 September 2026, launch sales and concurrent-player reporting, and the game’s verified in-build behaviour (scoring rules, tower mechanics, payout structure).
- Single-source figures are labelled. Where a fact rests on one source — for example a changelog entry or community testing — the prose says so (“the Season 1 changelog lists…”, “community testing puts…”). We never present a single-source figure as if it were settled fact.
- Nothing is invented. Weapon damage, recoil, map callouts, and “best weapon” rankings are not in our verified list, so they are not published. If a number is not on a page, assume we could not trace it.
- Snapshots are dated. Every economy page carries a “Last checked” line. Early-access numbers shift between patches; the in-game vendor is the final word.
- Corrections update the page. When a patch moves a number, the page is edited and its revision date changes. You will not find three near-identical pages competing with each other.
